grums is a Danish brand from Aarhus that recycles coffee grounds from the local roastery La Cabra and combines them with well-documented skincare ingredients. This cream does more than one job: it binds moisture, soothes, protects against free radicals, and supports the skin’s own moisture-producing mechanisms.

The formula is free from allergens, colorants, fragrance, parabens, silicone, gluten, alcohol, and sulfates. The packaging is recycled glass. grums is certified cruelty-free and a member of 1% for the Planet.

Key ingredients

Coffee Ground Extract (Coffea Arabica Seed Extract)

Recycled from local coffee grounds. Rich in antioxidants, caffeine, and vitamin B3 (niacinamide). Protects against oxidative stress and free radicals, and may help reduce redness and support the skin barrier.

Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)

Can bind up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Increases skin’s moisture content, elasticity, and firmness by attracting and retaining moisture in the skin’s outer layer.

Glycerin

One of the most well-documented moisturizing ingredients in skincare. Binds water to the skin, protects the cells’ lipid layer, and prevents irritation.

Bladderwrack (Fucus Vesiculosus Extract)

Rich in minerals and amino acids with a complete essential amino acid profile. Supports the skin’s ability to distribute fluid and protects against pollution from airborne particles.

Squalane, Shea Butter, and Coconut Oil

Plant-based emollients that soften the skin surface and seal the skin barrier to reduce moisture loss over time.
