NIMO SKIN is a webshop aimed at people with sensitive, reactive, and redness-prone skin – including rosacea and perioral dermatitis. We offer skincare products formulated for skin that does not respond well to mainstream skincare. All products are selected based on documented effectiveness – and they have also been tested by the founders, who themselves suffer from PD and rosacea.
Yes! NIMO SKIN is a 100% Danish webshop, which also has a Danish warehouse. You are therefore in safe hands when shopping on the site, and you can always expect fast delivery of your orders.
No, NIMO SKIN is exclusively an online store.
NIMO SKIN is the online store where we select skincare for sensitive, reactive, and redness-prone skin. CØLM is our own brand, with its own formula, name, and identity, developed for rosacea, perioral dermatitis, and acne. You can buy CØLM here at nimoskin.dk, and we’re behind both.
Because skin with rosacea and perioral dermatitis rarely does well with just one product. We’ve reviewed the market and selected products formulated for easily irritated skin, rather than selling you everything. That way, you don’t have to decipher ingredient lists and experiment for yourself.
You can write to us via the contact page. If you have a question about an order, please include the order number so we can help you more quickly.
Most products in our range are fragrance-free or formulated with very low levels of well-tolerated preservatives. Each product has a detailed ingredient list on the product page, which we encourage you to review before purchase.
We always recommend clarifying this with your doctor. Certain active ingredients – such as retinol and high concentrations of salicylic acid – are generally not recommended during pregnancy. We list key ingredients on all product pages so you can assess this in consultation with your doctor.
The products in our range are primarily formulated for sensitive, reactive, and redness-prone skin. This includes skin with rosacea, perioral dermatitis, barrier damage, and skin that reacts to strong active ingredients. If you are unsure whether a specific product is suitable for your skin, please feel free to contact us.
Perioral dermatitis often requires a very gentle and minimal skincare routine. Our products are selected with this in mind – free from strong actives, corticosteroids, and common triggers. We always recommend consulting a doctor or dermatologist during active flare-ups.
Rosacea is a chronic condition, so we focus on calming, relieving and keeping it under control. Our products are formulated to reduce visible redness, support the skin barrier and minimise triggers, and contain active ingredients backed by evidence. Many of our customers notice a difference over time.
With the right routine, many people can keep symptoms so well under control that their skin looks unaffected in everyday life. Over time, some customers reach a point where they only need their products during occasional flare-ups, rather than every day. This can make a noticeable difference to quality of life.
Apply a thin layer to the affected areas as the final step in your evening routine. If you have very sensitive skin, start with a patch test: apply a very thin layer to a small area, then gradually expand to the entire affected area. If your skin tends to be dry, apply a moisturizer first, let it absorb completely, then apply a thin layer of CØLM.
Once your skin has calmed down, you can gradually reduce use and apply the cream only for occasional flare-ups. You can read more in our guide to CØLM.
It varies from person to person. Several customers who have reviewed CØLM Redness Relieving Cream describe seeing a difference within a few days, while others need more time. During the first few evenings, the cream may cause slightly more redness or tightness, which typically subsides after one to two weeks.
So give your skin time, and don’t change your routine too often. You’re also covered by our skin improvement guarantee.
Introduce new products one at a time, and patch test on a small area before using them on your entire face. A little redness or tightness at first may be an initial reaction, but severe stinging or a marked worsening means you should stop using the product. If you’re unsure, or it doesn’t improve, contact your doctor.
You should discuss this with your doctor or dermatologist before getting started. If you’re using prescription medication for rosacea or another topical treatment, we generally advise against combining it with new products on your own. We don’t know what treatment you’re using and can’t provide medical advice.
Yes. Acne is one of the primary uses for CØLM Redness Relieving Cream and ZZ-Creme. Sulfur has been used to treat acne for decades, and CØLM contains both sulfur and zinc oxide. If you have blemish-prone skin along with redness or sensitivity, it is generally a good idea to keep your routine simple and avoid exfoliating products.
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that mainly affects the central face: the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. Typical signs include persistent redness, flushing (a sudden feeling of heat and redness), visible small blood vessels, and sometimes acne-like bumps. Rosacea comes and goes, with periods of flare-ups.
Because rosacea is chronic, the goal is to keep symptoms under control: with gentle skincare, by avoiding your own triggers, and, if needed, with treatment from a doctor.
Perioral dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition that causes small red bumps, scaling, and irritation, typically around the mouth. It can also occur around the nose and eyes. Perioral dermatitis can resemble acne or rosacea, but it is treated differently.
The condition can be triggered or worsened by strong products, heavy creams, and corticosteroid cream on the face. It therefore often requires a very gentle, minimal routine. Always get a diagnosis from your doctor.
They look alike and are often confused. Rosacea typically affects the cheeks, nose and forehead, causing persistent redness, flushing and visible blood vessels. Perioral dermatitis most often affects the area around the mouth, causing small red bumps, flaking and a stinging or tight feeling.
Both can react badly to harsh products and call for a gentle routine. Get a diagnosis from your doctor so you know what you’re dealing with.
Triggers are individual, but the most common are sun and UV light, heat (hot baths, sauna), cold and windy days, alcohol, spicy food, stress, and harsh skincare products containing fragrance, alcohol, or exfoliants.
Keep a short diary of when your skin flares up to identify your own triggers. Use sunscreen every day: Sun is one of the most important triggers of redness and rosacea flare-ups.
Demodex are tiny mites that naturally live in the sebaceous glands of most people. Some people with rosacea and perioral dermatitis have more mites than usual, and they can contribute to irritation and redness.
Sulfur has a proven effect against Demodex, which is why it is included in CØLM Redness Relieving Cream. The mites are active at night, so you use the cream in the evening.
It varies from person to person, but these are often problematic: fragrance and essential oils, alcohol (especially denatured alcohol), camphor, abrasive particles, and strong acids. With PD, heavy, occlusive creams can also be a trigger.
Read the ingredient list (INCI) on the packaging, and look for fragrance-free products. Do a patch test when trying something new, and start with one product at a time.
Keep your routine simple: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning. Avoid hot water and exfoliating products, and add only one new product at a time so you can see what your skin tolerates.
If you need a place to start, we’ve put together routines in our Rosacea & PD Basic, Plus, and Complete bundles.
Consult a doctor or dermatologist if you have not received a diagnosis, if your symptoms are not improving, or if your skin is getting worse. If you have irritated, red, or dry eyes along with rosacea, you should also have them checked.
Skincare can help keep your skin calm, but it does not replace a medical assessment.
